ANIKA {TEEN} | LAS VEGAS CHILD PHOTOGRAPHER

 This mom approached me about doing a special session for her Daughter’s 16th Birthday. I had no idea what I was in store for as this beautiful, smart and amazing girl has suffered from Depression for years and has finally broke the barrier to move forward and become successful in anything that she sets her heart towards. I cannot imagine what this family went through, but I am glad I could do a “Princess Within/Sweet 16” photo shoot to help her jump over her setbacks and reach the next milestone. She has a bright future ahead of her and I wish her a lifetime of happiness and joy!

“Our battle with depression began when she was 7 when she expressed her desire to end her life then. It has been a hard road. We have overcome self harm in the form of cutting, self destructive behavior through abusive relationships with men, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and over medication. At one point her Psychiatrist advised keeping her comatose through medication in hopes that she “outgrow” her struggles. Through prayer, exercise, meditation, an amazing experience with @zenrosegarden and a loving supportive family she is medication free today. She has happiness, hope, and purpose. She sees her value and she KNOWS her worth. She has become an example to others and I’m so blessed to be her Momma” ~ Jamie
