The Coronatography Project is my personal project and something that allows the families of this rare moment in history (COVID-19 Lockdown) to capture what is was like during the pandemic. Its meant to bring light and hope during such a dark time. This quarantine time capsule will become a part of history and will tell great stories in the future. When everything else is gone, photography is all we have left. I hope this project enlightens and bring smiles… we are in this together! #VegasStrong #familylove

Family #2 – The Luque Family, I have photographed throughout the years and I have always loved their humor and loving personalities. The mom is a teacher, and gets to work from home. Dad works at Wynn, and is currently staying home since it’s closed. They both feel blessed to still have jobs. They miss seeing friends and family, being able to run to the store to pick something up. They haven’t left the house since the stay at home order started and they have had groceries and everything else they need delivered. Mom misses seeing her students everyday.

“This wouldn’t be so bad if I wasn’t quarantined with a teacher”
Family {Love}

They have learned to appreciate time the most. They have been able to spend time with each other – just the 4 of them. They’ve played lots of board games together, gone on family bike rides, and worked on puzzles.

When asked if the kids miss school, they said, YES! They miss their teachers and their friends. Mom said she does not enjoy homeschooling, it’s harder to teach her own two kids at home than 22 kids at school.

Once everything is back to normal they have annual passes to Disneyland. They had planned to celebrate both kids birthdays there. They plan on visiting as soon as they open.

Thank you to the Luque Family for sharing their story.

NOTE: all images taken for the coronatography project were following the governors rules of social distancing. I, the photographer, was well protected and did not leave my vehicle maintaining more than 10′ of social distance at any given time. Images taken at clients home.
