The Coronatography Project is my personal project and something that allows the families of this rare moment in history (COVID-19 Lockdown) to capture what is was like during the pandemic. Its meant to bring light and hope during such a dark time. This quarantine time capsule will become a part of history and will tell great stories in the future. When everything else is gone, photography is all we have left. I hope this project enlightens and bring smiles… we are in this together! #VegasStrong #familylove

Family #4 – The Fandel Family, just a boy mom trapped with her 3 handsome men, how bad can it be? lol Mom was laid off and has filed for unemployment with no luck, she spends countless hours trying to get a hold of people, but with hundreds of thousands of people filing a day, she is stuck. Dad is still working and spend lots of time during the day on conference calls and webinars. He has the possibility to be furloughed.

Quarantine is rough! lol

They both miss the simple freedoms of being able to get up and go anywhere whenever they want. They really miss their freedom but have realzie they take for granted the flexibility to do so. Mom said “We have also always been clean people and careful with germs, but wearing masks and gloves when leaving the house takes things to a whole new level.  I feel like we all just go about our fast pace daily lives and really forget about what is important. Moving forward we will definitely be even more aware of germs and how dangerous a virus can be. I have definitely learned to appreciate time with my husband more.  He is usually gone 3 days a week for work so having him home every night has been so nice!!”

Family {Love}

They spend their time riding bikes daily and going on family hikes. Dad has taken up the hobby of shooting his bow and arrow and cooking with his traeger smoker grill. Mom want to learn calligraphy but has spent most her time spring cleaning closets and cabinets.

The oldest boy misses school and asks everyday when they will go back but mom has really enjoyed watching him learn new things. He misses his wonderful teachers who send fun videos and activities everyday. Home schooling is challenging for mom. Mom has created a structured schedule with stickers and that has been helpful. He loves flash cards, matching things, math and games, but hates coloring or writing. AND everything is harder with a 1 year old to care for also.

When the lock down is over they are looking forward to their normal schedule. Dad misses traveling for work, mom misses watching her boys sports. They has to cancel their planned vacation so they hope to book another soon. Mom is looking forward to date night and misses their amazing sitter – Lauren.

Happy Easter!

Thank you to the Fandel Family for sharing your story.
